It’s time for an update. In the year since my dream work-from-home job suddenly vaporized, I’ve found it difficult to devote my diminished spare time to this beloved hobby of mine. Though I have and will continue to make time to compile data for certain new releases (such as Sinners), I’ve really missed the joy of tackling older films on a consistent basis. Thankfully, I recently came up with an exciting way to get back to that.
Earlier this month, I marked the occasion of Pee-wee’s Big Adventure’s 40th anniversary by timing the performances of its cast. After then sharing my existing Sunset Boulevard numbers on the day it hit the big 7-5, I became inspired to embark on a project wherein I will regularly present screen time data for movies as they reach major anniversaries (i.e., those divisible by five).
This project allows me to add “new” data to Screen Time Central both frequently and flexibly. I have over a dozen films on my to-do list for the remainder of 2025, including several September releases like Dog Day Afternoon and Seven.
On an unrelated note, I’m also going to spend some time in September catching up on my Disney characters project, which is currently missing data for Wish and Moana 2.
To stay up to date on these projects and my timing of more 2025 releases, join the STC mailing list and/or follow me on X.
